The Lone Star Regional in Frisco, TX is October 11-13, 2012, only a month away!
Registration deadlines are upon us now: the room block deadline at the Embassy Suites is September 10 and the registration deadline (to avoid a late fee) for the Regional is September 15. See Bob Demmel's note on the TDB (Technical Discussion Board) about the Embassy Suites room block and alternatives.
To those of you that have already registered, thank you! We appreciate your attendance and look forward to seeing you in Frisco!
To those of you that have not registered (yet), this is an opportunity for you to:
1. Attend and spend time with NCRS members and the Corvettes that we are passionate about.
2. Observe the cars, visit with owners & judges, and attend technical sessions to aid you in your own restorations.
3. Bring your Corvette(s!) to be judged, displayed, or build Sportsman points, The finest NCRS judges in the country attend the Lone Star Regional!
4. Join a judging team as a Judge or Observer Judge to share and improve your Corvette knowledge.
5. Attend two new guided tour activites we have planned to the new Dallas Cowboys stadium and to Southfork Ranch.
Many owners feel their Corvette needs to be "finished" in order to be show-worthy. That's great but the opposite is also true! We love to see your car in all stages: right out of the barn, bare chassis, partially restored, just as you acquired it, fully restored, highly original, and anything in between. For a $60 judging fee, you get 10 man hours of judging time on your Corvette alone! You learn tons in the process, you get the judging sheets, have all you need to develop your improvement plan for your car, and hopefully depart with a Flight Award to be proud of!
This is also your chance to build your judging points (leading up to your Master Judge hat), build Sportsman points (leading up to the Sportsman Award and our Texas Chapter Charlie Cadenhead Memorial Award), work on your Founders Award, attempt (and hopefully pass!) your PV, and if you're striving for a Duntov or McLellan Award, this is your chance to score a 97.0 and satisfy the Regional requirement.
Online registration is available (use the Event Registration tab above). The event details and the online registration links are also available on the Texas Chapter website: www.ncrstexas.org.
On behalf of the Lone Star Event Organizers, thanks for registering and see you in Frisco!
