Previous owner used air craft stripper

Just bought a 69 coupe the previous owner was restoring it and used aircraft stripper and now there is a couple of soft spots. Need to know the best way to repair it, never going to be a concours type car but I want to fix it the right way. Any help would be nice not in a hurry to get it done just want it to be right.

Scrub it with very hot water ,tide and a white wall tire brush two or three times a day and leave it in the sun .PS if there is any paint or primer on it ,it should be removed . when the softnes goes away it can be repaired as needed .

Good advice. I would leave it out in the HOT sun for a week or so to try to pull the stripper out. If the soft spot is still there you will need to grind out the soft spot & resurface coat that area.

There is still a lot of primer on it and the car was washed many times. The previous owner stopped after health problems and the car sat for years under a cover and a carport. The car had some previous body damage that was done mid 70s. Did fix a 70 coupe a few years ago the the owner stripped with a da and 80 grit but that was a lot different. Thanks Bob

The damage is done. It will not firm up. You need to grind it out and repair with resin and mat.

That would have to have been some pretty powerful stuff and left on for a long time I would think. I have heard that the remover can be a problem for new paint but I did not Know that it would do that to the glass. I worked with fibreglas in my younger days and it was impossible to remove the resin after it had time to cure, but that was back in early 1960
Russ is correct the damage is done.
