The two inside bolts for the rear valance to body have flat washers and bolts separately. Are the flat washers just plain steel, bright zinc, or zinc phosphate?
Are all the SAE flat washers used for the bumper mounting brackets and bumper to body plain steel along with the lock washers? Archives seem to indicate zinc phosphate while lock washers were plain steel. Just trying to reconfirm.
On a side note it has been discussed that the bumper bolts are generally bright zinc on the out side and zinc phosphate on the unseen side. Mine all appear to be zinc phosphate. I see no evidence that any were bright zinc and all the hardware is in pretty decent shape. I have seen bright zinc remnants in other areas. For example the clips that hold the fuel line to the frame back by the gas tank still have a little plating on them.
Thanks as always.
