How to determine how many of a color combo were made?

I am attempting to learn how many 1976 Vettes came off the line with a certain "special order" color combination. I am told this car was ordered (have document), with a non standard color combination. The colors were standard, but not recomended by the factory. Were would I look to find this information.

    Thanks for your help!

I don't think there is any GM info. on #'S of color combinations. Only total number of body/interior colors.

they made 46,558 cars in 76, 3,268 were bright blue, and 8,946 had buckskin leather. if you are good at math you can find a percentage. or you can make up any number you want like everyone else does who sells there "rare" car

Can't speak to 1976 model year, but in 1972, they used the code ZP2 for "Color & Trim Override". According to the NCRS pocket guide, there were 164 conv's & 490 coupes (of all non-standard color combinations) with this code. My old '72 was so-optioned (see GM Canada microfiche documentation for convertible # 08196. (Steel Cities Gray with Dark Bright Blue vinyl trim).

The weirdest color combo I saw was a 73 Lime Green/ Silver interior. The guy that ordered it wanted a Corvette that no one else had & I am sure it was.

No such trim & color override codes for 1976 in the 2011 version of the pocket Spec Guide. Get your new and updated version now.

Top of my weird list is a 1970 Daytona Yellow with Green interior. And yes, it was an approved combination. It looked a lot better than it sounds.

And then there was that famous "stuffed olive" car, Cascade Green with a red interior....

Had to be 1970. I don't think there was a green interior in 1971 or 1972. IIRC

There was a dark green interior offered in 1971. I can see why you think not, Terry. I had look in the Black Book, which lists it as available with all paint colors except red, silver and the two blues. It is listed for orange and Warbonnet. I can recall seeing exactly one in a green car, but that might have been a 1970.

There is a green 1974 conv. W/silver int on the Boston Craigslist with photos
