C1 Original Clear floor Mats ???

While I am familiar with dealer installed clear/yellow floor mats that have the BOWTIE in a circle at the top. I am hoping if someone knows about mats with the cross flags in a circle and numbers and 4 1714 and 4 1713 at the bottom.

When were these available at dealers? are these earlier versions? C1's perhaps?

no c-1's had factory or dealer installeed floor mats. i'm sure the NAPA-type store of the 1960's sold floor mats though. mike

Thanks Mike, what about the bowtie mats versus the cross flags? Do you think both would of been over the counters during the C2 era?

I have only seen the cross flag ones that I beleave were dealer installed. The mats were clear but yellowed with age.

Here are pictures of the floor mats that are in my 64 which have the bowtie logo. I bought this corvette from the daughter of the original owner and she said these have been in there as long as she can remember so i do not know if they are over the counter or not. I would like to find out more information about these mats if anyone has knowledge.

Al Knoch had the clear C2 mats for sale in Carlisle. I was hoping to find something similar for my C1, but they said they only had the C2 style. I didn't want to spend the bucks for something that wasn't going to fit relatively well, and based on their size compared to a C1 carpeted mat, I decided to pass.

I bought a set of these in the mid 70's for my 64 (small world). I bought them at an independent parts store and they were aftermarket. They're just like yours.

Guys, been lurking and watching, but still have not seen a concrete response on the cross flags vs bowtie.

my question is

were these both available as a dealer accessory?
and

were these specific to different years? for example cross flags for C1's and Bowties for C2's

maybe someone with a parts and accessories catalog could weigh in.

Thanks Paul, maybe i missed something here, Post #8 was in reference to the bowtie mats and I was hoping someone had more info on the cross flags with the circle. BTW yours have the 1713 and 1714 numbers? I was always under the assumption that ones with the numbers were GM pieces....

These are all the mats that I can find right now. The black crossed flag mats were in my 64 when I bought it, and have "MG-2 on the back. No other numbers. The clear bowtie flags I bought from the aftermarket, as stated above. They have no numbers on them. I don't believe that either of these were available from the dealer.
