Can someone tell me the difference between the hood release cable for an ac car and non ac. I have an ac car and it seems that the cable is short. (BRacket is correct) Seems that the sharp bends around the ac ductwork are causing the cable to get real tight. From the end of the cable to the point where the cable enters the handle is 17 1/4" Myron

Hi Myron, I am restoring a 65 with a/c and the car was stripped when I bought it. I purchased a new repop for the car and first pulled the handle off it and JB welded it back on and then broke the cable so I know what you are talking about but don`t have the answer. I will try to measure mine tomorrow night for you. I hope you get some good answers for both of us. Most people say I am a little heavy handed so I just thought it was me. Good Luck! Mike
