    Daniel,

Dallas is a metroplex with over 6 million people.

Where in Dallas specifically are you going?

        Here you go:

I find Trip Advisor to be invaluable when travelling around the country. Generally the reviews are accurate and helpful.
Take a look at it. I have their mobile version on my phone. Add the Open Table app and you can often reserve a table in seconds using your phone.

          Dan,

Grapevine is on the good side of the metroplex - Fort Worth. Long running history between Fort Worth and Dallas.

          Enjoy your trip.

Forgot to mention, there's road construction all over the north end of DFW airport and the Grapevine 121/114 interchange - it's a big time mess. Drive carefully and avoid rush hours.

          - Best TexMex is #4 Esparza's - hands down best margarita's in Texas IMHO
          - #15 Tolbert's is Texas style food
          - #32 Carrabba's although it's a chain is great Italian
          - #26 Salt Grass is a chain, but food is good
          - #68 Silver Fox is metroplex chain, good, but pricey

If you like barbeque, you might like this place in Fort Worth. A well known established barbeque establishment since 1958. http://www.angelosbbq.com/index2.html

Cool River is an excellent restaurant in Dallas. I go to it every time I go to Dallas on business. It's address might be Irving Texas, but it's right there. Enjoy. Safe travels...

Try the hard eight for bar-b-q and Bone Daddys for lunch.

Thanks for the tips. We will definitely go for Bar-b-q, but likely on our own. We have to take a group of at least 9 pepole for some thing more business casual. Stake and sea food kind of thing. Looking forward to a Texas stake and bar-b-que.

Gary thanks for the heads up regarding traffic, we willbe driving.

Best steakhouse in Dallas, IMO, is Pappas Bros. Steakhouse on Lombardy Lane off of Northwest Hwy (Loop 12) just south of the I-35E/Loop 12 Split in NW Dallas, just down Hwy 114 from Grapevine.

                      Daniel,

For a little taste of the old west go to the Cattleman's Steak House on north Main Street in the Fort Worth Stockyards.

BBQ in Grapevine, try the Spring Creek BBQ http://www.springcreekbarbeque.com/grapevine.htm which is a local north Texas chain.

Enjoy Grapevine. Try Esparza's you'll enjoy their Tex-Mex food.

Watch out for the traffic. Avoid 820, 114 and I35 7AM-9AM and 3PM-6PM week days.

I agree with Gary about Esparza's. Great margueritas and Southwest Nachos. Esparza's is one block east of the main street in downtown Grapevine. Ask anyone, they know where it is located. We have been going there since '89. If you like Italian Ferrari's in Grapevine is excellent, also. If you like fried chicken Babe's in Roanoke 15-20 minutes west of Grapevine is a place you will remember for the food and experience. If you go there ask them to see the baby rattlers.

If you like wings, there's a really great little place in Keller. I can't remember the name of the place, but it's a little bar just south of the water tower on the main drag running north and south thru Keller. The locals all know the place. Very little sauce on the wings, but they grill them over Mesquite just before they serve them. My mouth is drooling just typing this. It's a must eat place. Great fries, too.
