1962 Core Support Extension Rivets

Anyone have the specs and a source for the rivets that attach the core support extensions to the inner fenders? Never had to put them back in before, After Bubba chromed them he reattached them with screws. Had the chrome removed now they need to go back in. Thanks Eric

They are round headed rivets. I believe Paragon has them. Probably others have too.

Looking at my 61 they look like the round head may go inside the wheel well and the crushed side is in the engine core extension side. Anyone else have an example they can check?

I used the standard soft aluminum round head 3/16" rivets. I got them from Paragon, but others like Corvette Central sell them. They matched the originals that I removed.

I've found an impact gun and ununeeded tool (like used in muffler work) with a small (3/16 inch dia) divot drilled into a cutoff shank is very useful in setting the rivits. You need a helper or a method to buck the top of the rivet while you peen the shaft.
