Thank you very much. A picture is really helpful. I am very excited about doing this job and I wonder if I can really manage to get things together again :-)

There are two on ebay right now. Just type in the part number and they will come up.

After getting great feedback in this forum about the right carburetor I was able to rebuild mine.
In a box with old parts that I got of the previous owner I found the core for a 7043201 carburetor. I bought missing jets and rods and choke and a rebuild kit. After assembling the carb I installed it onto the engine and fired it up. It started instantly, I adjusted the idle speed, everything was fine.
But when the engine was warm I played with higher rpm's and suddenly it made a very loud noise and died.
Now, when I try to start it again it starts but stops immediately. If I play with the throttle to keep it running it even blows out steam of fuel (very rarely).
Something must be wrong but I do not know what to look for. And it worries me that it sound like it is not running on all cylinders.
I would be very pleased for ideas or debugging procedures or links to websites that explain typical issues.
        Thanks a lot, Sascha

Your problem may be unrelated to the carb. Start with the basics, compression test, and check to see if the distributor is turning (remove the cap) when cranking. Check fuel level. Then see where you are...Remember the basics of a four cycle engine suck-squeeze Pop Fooey! Find out which of those is amiss and then look to fix.

Hi William, you were right, the problem was not related to the carb. I just checked the car and underneath the engine I found an orange painted square peace of metal. After searching for the original location I found where it belongs to. When I removed the carb I also removed the lever that usually holds the air pump because my car has got no air pump installed. That was a bad idea because this lever was holding down a metal lid that closes the air pump connection ports/ holes on the engine. The square peace of metal that I have found was this lid! After reinstalling that the engine ran fine. Sorry for not using the right terms,
            Thanks a lot,
            Sascha
