1967 Any significance to part number on firewall above heater box?

I remember reading something about the part number on the firewall above the heater box but can't find the thread in the archives. Any help would be appreciated.

My 67 cars (March and May) do not have the part number.

This is the number I am referring to (from a late production 67):

    Thanks

    Daniel -

That's the molded-in part number of the dash panel; my June '67 A.O. Smith body has it.

      John,

Is that something only A.O. Smith bodies had? Both of my cars are St. Louis and don't have it.

        Daniel -

        I don't know whether it's date-related or St. Louis-vs-A.O. Smith-related; Wayne Womble may know.
