Engine component balancing
Any eastern North carolina members recommend a good engine rebuilder/machine shop that can balance a 283 FI engine close to the Raleigh or Goldsboro area ?

Al, I used Garry Grimes for my L-82 and then my 283 dual four engine. He has done many competition and restoration engines over the years plus development work for cam and other component manufacturers. He even hosted ZAD, restored Can AM engines and knows Rochester FI. Garry has a heck of a Chevy collection and his dad built a number of NHRA record holders. He did mild internal mods and machine work done with the outside of the engine restored to look like factory. He has been in business for decades and has a couple of dynos to run the engines in and tune. His shop is in Alpharetta, GA, north of Atlanta and about an hour south of N/S Carolina.
