Why is the first thing I notice in the pic is that the SS has a 10 bolt rear end??

According to the Camaro Research Group site not all 1969 SS cars had a 12 bolt rear.

Correct - if it was a Powerglide SS, it had a 10-bolt rear.

They were in a panic as I would have been. It sure didn't seem like they were in any hurry or seem to know what to do. They beat on the door & never did get it open. One guy stood there & was still putting on his gloves. Look at the vidio again & see if you would want them to put out a fire in your car/house

I'll add this. The fire dept. moves in a methodical manner to preserve the saftey of the firefighters first. Obvoiusly, they did and do not get excited by the tension of the situation. If anyone ever knew the toxins given off by a car fire added to the possibilty of a flash, they would walk rather than run too.

The fire attack looks to be very text book in nature. I will admit, I'd be having a hemmorage too if that were one of my cars.

My symapathy goes to the owners. If you want to look on the bright side......................they did not lose the truck!

First responders asses as they are pulling up. Totally engulfed means not enough water in the tank and they must lay hose from the hydrant, and then attack the fire. You don't assume what other flammables are in the trailer. A firefighter's life is worth more than any thing they are fighting. Sorry about their loss, collect the insurance, and get on with it!
