I am just starting a restoration that I bought in parts and I have what I think are the original rear springs. Should I try and have them re-arced or buy new? If i should buy new is there a company I should use or stay away from? Any info would be a big help, this is a first for me and I am learning as i go. Thanks, Frank (54675)

Re: 1954 rear leaf springs
How does the car sit now?
How many miles on the car?
If they are the originals - I would not replace them - rearch them
Look at the bottom of the last spring
There are numbers on bottom1954 Corvette #3803 - Top Flight 2012, Bloomington Gold 2012,

Re: 1954 rear leaf springs
When I bought the car it was in pieces in an old garage. The body was on boat stands, the rear was leaning on one wall and the chassis on another with parts in bags and boxes all around the. One spring has all (4) and the other has (3), I will try and find the numbers on them. Thanks for the help, Frank- Top

Re: 1954 rear leaf springs
Chris- The last spring is missing on one side but the other side has numbers on the top 3706707 and on the bottom 95 4 E . I am assuming these are the originals. All the pieces have grooves except one its solid. Thanks, Frank- Top
