    1966 a/c

My a/c blower only blows on high speed. Sometimes a lower speed will come out but not for long. I do have 3 speeds if I pull the air door. Does that sound like an A/C resistor change? Dutch

    Hi Harry,

Sounds like the resister/divider circuit is working ok if you have 3-speeds when you pull the fresh air knob out.

What could be going on is that when the air knob is pushed in, you don't get connections from the B contact (12v) and the L and M contacts, but you do for the H contact. This would be a switch problem, such as it is possibly coming apart and with the air-door pull out it helps to "fix" the problem by allowing the rotating part of the switch to make contact with the fixed part of the switch. Which could explain why it sometimes works (usually wiggling the switch or slightly pulling on it will cause it work).
