Re: Corvettes on Woodward
Hi Mike. I went to the Corvettes of America show @ Alpine Valley today without my car (rain) and talked briefly to the registration ladies. They told me that the Radisson (the old Kingsley Inn) at Woodward and Long Lake Rd is again going to be the gathering place this Wednesday (August 15th). I think she told me 5:30PM. The convoy will leave for the cruise at about 7:00 or 7:30. Weather permitting, I'll be out on the Ave, just not sure yet if I'll join in with this group. I did it before and there were over 200 Corvettes in the convoy. You just can't keep a group that big together. Hell, the distance from light to light isn't long enough to hold a line that long. Sure is a fun event though.
If you go, don't forget to bring a canned good or two to donate to the food drive that the church is coordinating...Don Lowe

Re: Corvettes on Woodward
Thanks Don. I heard it was over 500 Vettes, but either way that's a lot. I'm going, but will probably stay north of Maple, as the stop and go traffic south of there is probably a bit much for the old fuel injection to handle. It might be a good test for my new fuel line insulation, though, so maybe I'll try.
I had intended to bring some canned goods, but thanks for the reminder...Mike

Re: Corvettes on Woodward
There are also about 100 Corvettes in Flint today. Google "back to the bricks" for details. 8:00 PM is the ending time, usually the northern end of the main street car show.https://MichiganNCRS.org

Re: Corvettes on Woodward
There were tons on Corvette on woodward. My friend and I drove his 60 early Friday afternoon up to the loop and back. By the time we got back to 13 mile the clutch was rattling and the temp was climbing. Time to park it. There were a lot of newer Vettes crusing. I guess the heats doesn't affect them as much as in the older ones- Top
