Does anyone know of a source for the odd color red on my 66 front cross flag emblem? I need to touch up a small chip. Thanks for any information. Ed

Re: 66 Front cross flag paint
Edward,
Try mixing some Testors model paints. I used 1103 red, 1140 brown and a yellow (for which I don't have the number) for the emblems on my '66. With some patience, an eye dropper, and a bit of thinner, I came up with a perfect match. Unfortunately, I didn't record the proportions, but as I recall, I went heavy on the red and brown and added just a bit of yellow to warm things up. I tried the nail polish route, but the array of red colors in the cosmetic aisle is mind boggling, even with the emblem in hand for comparison.
Good luck!

You can experiment with this, but the link below might help get you started. In post #11, there are two links, one with Jerry Fuccillo's research.
