    C2 side pipe insulator installation

I recently bought a set of used side pipes, with covers, for my C2. One of the covers did not have the insulators, so I purchased a straight and curved insulator for this one side. I would like to know what the best adhesive/glue is to instal the insulator back on the cover, of course it has to stand considerable heat.Since I do not live in the USA so a global brandname would help. Thanks Ruud

    Ruud -

"JB Weld" works well for that application.

Ruud, if you cannot find it through a retail outlet, JB Weld in the UK can ship it to you.

I've noticed that there are a lot of different JB Weld products, which specific JB Weld product do I have to order for this job ?
          Thanks Ruud

            Ruud,

I would use JB Weld Kwik, part # 8276, the package comes with 2 one once tubes; mix both tubes together on a pice of cardboard, mix it thick and apply in 3-4 areas so the blob/mass mashes in and spreads out while drying; should be dry in four-five minutes and it will be as hard it will ever get within 2-3 hours. It will be sorta like mashing gooie boubble gum on it. Have fun...
