On the back of a 66 corvette dash clock 556 is marked. What does this stand for ?

My guess would be the 55th day of 1966 = February 24th, but I have already proved I don't know squat about midyears so don't pay any attention to me.

I'd vote for the Julian date also. My Sept 23rd, 1965, car had a clock date of 255 (Sept 12th). That would make it much closer to my build date than Feb 5th. JMHO.

I know for C3s it is a Julian date, and I just assUmed C2s were the same. But I did add the disclaimer.

My 1970 with a trim tag date of January 29 has a clock date of 337 9 The 337th day of 1969 or December 3, 1969. It is pretty hard to make anything else out of that date. I really doubt it is March 37th, but then WTF do I know.
