1960 Soft Top Installation
About 7 years ago, I installed an Al Knoch folding top on my car. When complete, it was not as good as I would have liked it to be, but for a first time (and last time) effort, it was acceptable. I did not have a power stapler; so I used a heavy duty hand stapler. I had difficulty driving the staples into the hard plastic strip in the bottom bow. The staples are starting to come out of the plastic retainer and I want to redo it better.
Do I need to use a stapler connected to an air compressor or an electric stapler? What size staples do I need to use, specifically the length? If the staples are too long, they will hit the bottom bow.
