Clark, I meant the mechanical on engine. When I was cleaning out the lines, I hit a "stop" at the fuel pump! Disconnected line from bottom and flushed several times with some carb cleaner? The sending unit in tank is shot as well and will be replaced! Glad to hear the pump will be OK, it is a new one and was not leaking either! Is it possible that I can clean the carb with cleaner and fresh gas when all is assembled, or will it have to be disassembled? Not much bad gas was used when it started for a minute or less! Looks like the filter stopped alot of bad gas? Thanks again!

There is no reason to rebuild the carb unless it shows a problem. I would never rebuild a carb for no reason. Most of the gummed up carbs are from cars that have sat for longer than yours. Fresh fuel will probably be all it needs.

The fuel filter should catch all the rust scale, etc. that was in the tank & lines. Just be sure to pump a lot of fresh fuel through the system and then change the fuel filter before you hook the line up to the carb. Just be very careful with the flushing process since gas is so volatile this time of year. Boom!
