1960 Bulkhead - Between folding top compartment and trunk

The vertical fiberglass piece between the folding top compartment and trunk compartment has broken loose near the area where the power top micro switches mount to the bulkhead. There is an "L" shaped piece of fiberglass that is suppose to connect the bulkhead to the underside of the trunk compartment. I attached 3 photos taken from left to right in the folding top compartment. The "L" shaped piece is fully adhered on the passenger side, but as it goes towards the driver side it is broken loose and it drops away from the underside of the trunk compartment; making it difficult to re-glue it to the trunk compartment.

Can someone take a few photos in this area and show me what the "L" shaped connector piece should look like when it is fully adhered to the trunk compartment?

I am thinking about removing the "L" shaped piece and re-gluing it to the underside of the trunk compartment. I don't know if it broke completely off and bubba re-glued it in place. On the trunk side there are large blobs of bonding putting that has broken loose from the "L" piece of glass.

Joe, Here are a few I had on file. Not great detail but it may help. Looks like sloppy bonds as yours are.

I would carefully remove the piece. A heat gun can help soften the rest of the bonding. Scuff all 4 mating surfaces to bare glass and re-bond with either a polyester bonding adhesive(fast cure) or 3M 8115 epoxy bonding adhesive(slow cure). You'll want to make up a few braces beforehand to hold it tight against the gas tank cover until fully cured.

here are a couple of shots, looks like it would be real easy to pop it off and reglue, make sure you grind it well so you can itch for a week,

While you gentlemen were posting excellent photos of the brace piece, I was popping my off and grinding off the mastic down to bare glass. It appears that the brace piece goes all the way up to the underside of the trunk. When the brace is glued into this position in the folding top compartment, there must be a gap on the trunk side where a bead of bonding putty can be placed to glue the bulkhead to the underside of the trunk. I am not sure if the photo below can be opened for viewing. My ability to post photos easily ended on Friday..

I understand that the problem is on my end, but I don't understand what changed from one day to the next on my end. I deleted browsing history, cookies, and cache.

              Joe,

There are a million lines of code involved on a PC. Might try running CCleaner to see if that solves the problem.

Be careful on the CCleaner settings as it can delete Word, Excel, etc. recent file history.

Also run a full virus scan in addition to AntiMalWareBytes and SuperAntiSpyware.
