GM # 3955182 (7 blades, 17 1/2" dia.) was used on 1970 Corvettes w/A.C. (350).
These fans were sold over the counter for many years.
The fan was made by Schwitzer (part # 914166) in March 1988.

This fan was on my 67 427. Is the C88 and date code? Does it have any value? What is the correct fan for a 67 427? Thanks.

Yes, "C88" = March 1988. I believe that it would have some serious value if it had a 1970 date code.
The 66-67 Corvettes w/427 and 68-70 Corvettes without AC were issued fan #3888366 (17 1/2" dia., 5 blades, 2 1/4" pitch, stamped "H" for Hayes-Albion, "FRONT", and "66"). The "66" is part of the Hayes-Albion part number, not the GM part number.

GM # 3955182 sold for $78.25 list, $58.69 w/discount in July 1994.
Do you think a 1970 Corvette w/AC fan # 3955182 fan dated "L78" (Nov. 1978) with original 1978 paint is worth $499?

No denying the aforemention info is true, I'm quoting from the GM 1953-82 parts book applications to be:
66-67 (427)
68-70 (Exc. A.C.)
69 (350, 427) W/H/PER., A.C
70 (350) W/A.C.

The 82 parts catalog is generally useless for parts in the 1960's and 1970's. The 66-67 Corvette (427) and 68-70 Corvette (exc. AC) models were issued fan # 3888366 (5 blades, 17 1/2" dia. 2 1/4" pitch, and stamped "H", "FRONT", and "66") as per my 1966, 1968, 1969, and 1970 assembly manuals and 1966, 1967, 1968, and 1969 Chev. parts catalogs.

GM # 3888366 was discontinued in April 1971 and replaced with GM # 3955182 as per Chevrolet Parts History.

The 3955182 fan does appear in the 1969 AIM (UPC C60, sheet C2) for use on 427 engines w/AC but the 350 engine w/AC lists the production fan (3888366) on C60, sheet C1.
