1966 425hp cam

Can I get some feedback and the best cam kit for a 66 425hp solid lift cam kit? Maker and part numbers would be helpfull.

Speed Pro (Federal Mogul) CS165R and AT992 lifters. Look up these numbers on the NAPA Web site. I believe you'll have to have the rear journal groove machined in this cam.

I used a melling mselect #22396 .50 duration 242 intake and 242 exhaust. intake lift @ valve .520 exhaust lift @ valve .520 lobe seperation angle is 114 degrees. It seem to work good with compression at 10 to 1 and street use. Dyno still showed horsepower in the advertised range on 425-450.

Don't use the first design valve spring, they're prone to break.

Those specs appear to be identical to the OE 427 425/435 cam. It's probably the FM CS165R in a Melling box.
