What radiator is in my 62?

The radiator in my early 62 has the numbers 3150896 as well as 08 7 cast on the neck. This doesn't seem correct. Any idea what it is? Bill

can't find that number in my 68 Chevy parts book, but if you google that number it comes up on DeWitts web site as the correct radiator for 61-62 Corvettes. Maybe someone else can shed some light on this.

That part number is the correct casting number for the neck of a 61-62 radiator. It is not the part number for the radiator or the date the radiator was made. A 61 has a raised square bump on the casting and the 62 does not have that bump.
The correct part number for a 61-62 radiator is 3150916 and is stamped on the top along with the date the radiator was made.
