I just replaced the clutch linkage rod rubber boot on the firewall. The clutch linkage rod that connects to the Zbar passes thru it, grips the boot end so when the clutch pedal is depressed and returned the rounded boot end is now collapsed towards the firewall. Is this correct?
When the clutch pedal is pushed the rounded boot end is straight
Does the rubber boot have to be "modified" or end hole greased so that it does not grip the clutch rod and flatten the boot nose?
Does anyone have a picture of their clutch linkage rod boot installed so I can see the position of the rubber?
