I just took my dash clock out to get it rebuilt and i noticed that the date on it 225 (jan 22 1965) my build date for the car is september 1965. As far as i know the last 9 years the clock was not replaced and consider original. My question is for judging purposes would that be an acceptable time frame or does the date not matter for judging? Seems like a long time span but it is was it is i think. Anyones thoughts

Re: Clock date
Good morning wayne : The trouble with that, how do you know if the clock was made in 1964 on the 205 day or 1967 on the 205 day? One of those numbers must represent the year that it was built. Would you agree? I think that the 205 represents the 20 th day of 1965. January 20th,1965- Top

Re: Clock date
Morris, my clock literally was stamped with black ink saying "Nov 1960". Maybe that was stamped by some PO? There may have been a metal stamp but I didn't pay attention to it. I just had the clock out this week but I am now on the road and won't be home for a week.
The clock was restored by Roger of Corvette Clocks by roger in the mid 1980s and still works great.
