Looks like they have the old price listed for the manual. I thought the new manuals were going to be $50 ?

Looks like the price is going thru the roof for this manual that all the mid year people said was a strange looking vette (MAKO SHARK) with all the curves and Fastest 427's till todays Plastic interior,Plastic Engine Compartment Vettes with the last 427 small block engines. Hope spell check was used...lol Can't wait to receive my copy, been using the 2nd edition that doesn't have complete information on the part numbers i need to get this correct, but at least i have a reference with some great information and this NCRS web site. Congratulations to the team of men and women for this New Reference Manual !

I sure hope the 68-69 tech manual is more understandable than the https://www.ncrs.org/shop/index.php?m...roducts_id=217 site is. It's $30 for members and $34.95 for non members and then depicted as $54.95 in that lower picture, but that's O.K. because there is more info in this version. Then I, as a member and not very intuitive, couldn't get it to give me the $30 member rate when working off that page.

All of the newer color (covered) manuals are higher priced due to higher printing costs. When you click on the 1968-69 manual you will find the higher price explained just above the pictures. To get the member price you have to log in just as you do here.

Edited to clear that only the cover is in color. The books are much more detailed and a lot more pages. This also contributes to the cost.

John my 68's drivers door handle broke in the late 80's, I did pull on it harder than usual though. Passenger side is still original. I believe these door handles were improved from the original casting design. What do you remember concerning the warranty work that was done to your new 68 BB that required warranty work done at the dealer keeping it off the the road so much?
