My son has a 96 LT4 C.A. so I got the vin number and called the local chev service dept to see if they had records of whether or not the recall had been performed on his car. They have no records going back that far. The vin didn't come up at all.

Maybe I can ask the guy who owns it if I can pull the valve cover off before I make him an offer! Just kidding, but maybe plan on maybe replacing the rockers if I do purchase? I don't want to sound paranoid, but holy smokes, who wants to drive around thinking "what if"?

if has not broken in 16 years i think you are safe unless this a barn find that has been setting for all those years
