    62 FI Distributor 1111011

Does anyone have the Delco Model/Part numbers for the rotor, points and condensor for this setup.

    Thanks

Yes, pretty easy, 1931988 points, (2 SETS) 1932015 Rotor, Cap-1941551 (dual window) Condensor 19422844 same Points (2) and rotor as pass car. Two window cap and a condensor with a little longer wire....Delco Short numbers are (were) Points D-106P for the points, I don't have a cross for the rest.

Thanks Bill. Can you double check the condensor number for me. I can't seem to find that part # anywhere.

Well, the problem isn't that bad, but I don't think the original part is available as it was only used on the 2 window high perf distributors. I think if you use a standard condenser and adjust the lead length to suit you will be ok.

They don't seem to be around but you did have the part number wrong. It's a 1942284. That will cross to a RR175 (also a D204) which has a lead length of 3 5/8". A typical D203 has a lead length of 2 1/8".

And FYI Dist Cap is D324, Rotor D409.

          Thanks for the help.

Thanks, that's what I get for trusting the GM parts book.

Stephen, The best points on the market today are Standards sold by NAPA. Might be called Echlin but they are Standards. For your 62 FI distributor order CS 786 or CS786P. NAPA"s rotor isn't what you want though. You want to get Cluppers favorite rotor with an extended tip. Available from a jobber in The Driveline".
NAPA has a nice rotor but I forget the part number.
I would pass on the DR points if I were you. But if you insist give them a try but especially pass on the DR condenser as they are nothing but grief and combacks. John

At this point, Delco is strictly a marketing organization, I don't have a clue as to who actually makes the parts sold in the Delco boxes.

I'm pretty sure that Delco along with most other "brands" package the SMP parts in their boxes.

If you change the point plate can the breakerless se be fitted to the dual point distributor? You can probably use the same distributor cap.

It's off topic but I am very impressed with the ease of installation and performance after installing on my 67 FWIW. This mod and a timing curve (faster) are probably the only things I would change.
