Gary, thanks for posting about Hampton. After finding the Marriott was full, I had made reservations with them but at $149. I called and the nice lady changed it to $109. She had been wondering why nobody was reserving with them.

I just found it on the Pitt NCRS home page, but regular updates here sure would be useful as well.

The Ramada has rooms available too - mine was confirmed this morning at about $100/night.

Yeah, if you call just be sure to make sure they check for that $109 rate. I called this am and the guy I was dealing with said they didn't honor the $109 from the Courtyard. After he checked he realized that he learned something new.

The Ramada has an Outback Steakhouse next door and a bar...for all you guys that live dangerously.

Ron Buck's picking up a 67 at my place that's going for flight. I'll bet this is going to be a great meet. Weather should be great the first week of Sep. Now, the second week could be iffy.

The Hampton is much higher rated than the Ramada - I'd recommend looking at it if anyone still needs a room.

Dr. Patrick, Yes the host hotel is full.
Call the Ramada Inn Altoona at 814-946-1631 $110. Do NOT use the Ramada website or they will tell you the Altoon Ramada is sold out.
Do NOT click on the Ramada link. It's only 1 mile from the Blair County Convention Center.
We also have the Hampton Inn at 814-941-3500

Meanwhile just last night I went on our chapters website. ncrs.pitt
Do that and scroll down the home page. Click on Regional registration and print it if you lost your Driveline. May-June issue See page 121.
If all else fails we can fax you a registration.
