Any ideas on removing white paint from white wall tire?

Previous owner sloppily painted about 1/3 of the white wall on my right front tire to cover curb rash with some sort of brush-on white paint.

I've tried Simple Green, paint thinner, mineral spirits all with no effect. Do you guys have any ideas on what I might be able to use to get this paint off the white wall?

Here's a picture from my cell phone:

Gordon, I also vote for lacquer thinner but here is something that I know will work. Put some brake fluid on it and let it soak. This will take several applications (don't rush it) but I guarantee that it will work. We used to use brake fluid to dress tires, until my bride finally talked me out of it because you can absorb it though your skin. But it is a known paint remover. Just ask some of the members on this forum who have spilled it and left it on thier cars. In fact there is an episode of Musclecar where Rick Bacon uses it to remove paint from a Mustang grill. He chose brake fluid because it will remove the paint and not harm the plastic. It won't harm rubber tires either.

I just wanted to follow up and say thank you. Lacquer thinner worked like a charm. I'm not sure what the chemical makeup is and the difference with paint thinner but paint thinner had no effect compared to lacquer thinner.
