40482 fuel pump

Hello,
I just bought a 40482 fuel pump and it has 1K40482 stamped along the side, is the 1K
a date code?
I believe my should have a HF40482 code for November 1966.

More information is required for a reasonable answer.
Does the pump have an "AC" casting?
Did the pump come in an AC box and if so is there a date code on the box?
It does not seem reasonable that the "1K" would mean the 1st day of 1971. I doubt if the AC pump factory made pumps on New Years Day in 1971. If they did I would not use one.
If the pump was made in the 1980's, 1990's, or in this century who really cares.

Sorry for the late reply. The pump does have the AC casting,but it did not come in a AC box.
