Since I have no response maybe I’ll try a different approach, has anyone used the under dash insulation from Volunteer Vette Products, Ecklers, or Corvette America? Ecklers list two different products one OEM type one improved (?). I have purchased parts from each in the past.

Howard I have not had to replace the under dash insulation on my 68 convertible. What happened to your original under dash insulation? Did you check with Dr Rebuild ? I believe he has a couple 68's and will know what you need.

I have used both the 68 and (69 for a fellow chapter member) firewall insulation from Dr. Rebuild. Fit was not real good and we had a heck of a time lining up where the penetrations were. The 68 was about 6-7 years ago and the 69 was two years ago, maybe they have improved by now.

Jim, the insulation was somewhat removed by the previous owner when trying to work on the heater to get the core out.
John, that’s the current information I have in regards to Dr. Rebuild. I don’t know who makes the one that Paragon sells, I have feedback both bad and with a lot of work you can get in in but not as good as OEM.That’s why I was asking about the other suppliers.

The last I purchased from Dr. Rebuild was a horrible reproduction, was not even close other than it covered the firewall. I had a somewhat plastic skin vs the asphalt impregnated material the original was made out of. The best supplier of firewall insulation went out of business several years ago and left the hobby lacking.
