New frame, suspension and radial tires on 1967 and alignment shop doesn't know how or can't get the rear wheels cambered in to suit me. Does anyone know a good shop in the Columbus, Sandusky or Toledo area that knows old Corvettes? Back when I'd use a breaker bar on the eccentric bolt with the car hangin' from a grease rack and just eye-ball it. Thanks.

Re: Mid year Rear alignment in Ohio
Bill maybe one of the local chapter members may know of someone that can help you. its best to have someone whos been there and done that. the rear toe and camber take the most time to set correctly. the front alignment is a piece of cake. good luckNew England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top

Re: Mid year Rear alignment in Ohio
The rear camber setting is the easiest alignment task on a C2/3. Rear toe is the toughest.

Re: Mid year Rear alignment in Ohio
Just had my Corvette aligned front and back at Angie's body Shop, Norwalk, Ohio. Owner Bill Tracht has a lazer machine with print-out of before and after numbers for customers. I can not say enough good things about this shop. Bill's father built cars that made the late 50's Hot Rod magazines so it's in his blood. My car ran 90 without the slightest shimmy. Not bad for an old '67.- Top

Re: Mid year Rear alignment in Ohio
I'm all fixed up for now but have used Bee Line when we lived in Columbus years ago. If any more negitive camber rears it's head I'll install the adjustable strut rods and due away with the eccentric bolt deal. Don't think the after market bolts are case-hardned as the originals. Use to belong to the Central Ohio Corvette Club and worked all those McDorman shows when 1000's would show up. Last year 50 cars attended. This is Bob's 50th year even though he doesn't own the dealership a show is planned so I've heard.- Top
