    ZL1 Aluminum 427

I'm wondering if any of you guys have any contacts within a GM Permormance Parts Dealer. I'm serious about buying one of the Anniversary ZL1 Aluminum 427; P.N. 19166392. I'm trying to find out where I can find the best price and availability. I'm located in Spring City, PA and hope to acquire a Dealer in my general area to which I can go and pick this engine up. Also, I will need the part number for the proper oil pan that will fit this engine into my 1967 Corvette which has power steering...Thanks, Herb Evans

This engine uses a special aluminum block with a 1 piece rear seal. Therefore, the Mark IV Corvette oil pan will not work. However, I believe the oil pan supplied with this engine will work in a Corvette chassis. Of course, it's not configured just like the Corvette pan but I believe it will work.

Also, you will need to use a flywheel which is compatible with a 1 piece seal crankshaft.

there are 8 GM performance parts dealers in Pa. you may want to try them and see if any has one in stock and they may want to deal.

Clem's right Fred Bean's is a huge wholesale powertrain dealer......they would be in a very good position to offer a good price based on their volume discounts from the General.
Keep in mind the list price for this engine is $28,625
