    '67 Non Power Brake Mystery.................

Greetings, I have a 67 Conv. w/ non power brakes. They worked fine before with a slight pull to the left (bad RF caliper). I rebuilt all 4 calipers. Now after bleeding the calipers several times, keeping the master cylendar full, I can't get a brake pedal. The pedal never comes up and it is not spongy. Any suggestions? Keep bleeding?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Your problem could be that your master cylinder lost its brake fluid when the you removed the calipers for a rebuild. Remove the master cylinder and with the rear tilted up some bleed the master cylinder. You can purchase a kit that will contain fittings (plastic) that screw into the master cylinder that have plastic tubes that you put into the holding cavity and observe all the bubbles of air being fed into the master cylinder. When the bubbles are gone, just fluid being pumped, leave the fittings in place and install the master cylinder. Remove the plastic fitting to connect brake line or lines.
If it was mine I would also rebuild the master cylinder. Bought a American made rebuild kit from O'Reilly Auto Parts.

      Larry -

I use the Motive Power power bleeder - does the job in ten minutes or less, and you don't have to keep checking the fluid level in the master cylinder reservoirs.
