Does anyone know where the exit point should be on the firewall for the passenger hood release and how it should route?

a few points of clarification.....

The style of hinges on the car are the same as the 58 early 59 where the latch mechanisim pulls down instead of back in the late 59-62. They say the change over took place around #8500 but mine is 8638 and it still has the early latches. So I'm wondering if the routing is the same as the 58.

John, Here are a few of my March '59(55xx) with the early style latches. Sorry the pics are not too clear. It exits on the driver side area, then across into a clip riveted to the pass side firewall tunnel, then up into the latch. Last pic is another March '59(59xx) showing a better shot where it exits the firewall.(the oval grommet)
