on a 1967 St Louis body am I correct to say on the upper corner on the passenger side above the hood catch there should be a "J" clip with the closed part pointing up to hold the harness. on one of dads 67 with a A.O. Smith body it does not have the clip but there is a hole there. doesn't look like there was one there. but his other 67 St. Louis body car has the clip. thanks

Keith,
This is a March St.Louis body. I think you are talking about the clip on the left.

My June AOS '67 has the same clip - look at the extreme left edge of the photo below.

Re: 1967 fire wall "J" clips
In your photo, the forward-facing edge of the body panel at the base of the windshield, just above the firewall (and forward of the wiper grilles) is black all the way across the hood-surround, instead of body paint color. Most pictures I've seen have that area painted body color, but occasionally I see them painted black like yours. Is that something that changed late in the '67 model year, or is it random for all midyear Corvettes, just depending on the person spraying the engine bay blackout, i.e., some sprayed that area with blackout, and some left it body color?- Top
