    1960 Armrest Chrome End Cap

My original end caps were pitted so I purchased a set of what was advertised as NOS on e-bay. The end cap I removed from my car is identical in every way except one, my end caps have thin sheet metal clips that capture two square nuts. The "NOS' end cap does not require capture nuts because the holes are threaded. At that point, I assumed that what I purchased on e-bay was repros. The repros sold by CC and Paragon are identical to the end cap I removed from my car, not the end cap I purchased.

What part did I purchase off of e-bay? Is it passenger car end cap? Once installed, it won't matter how the part is constructed because it will be hidden inside the arm rest.

The repros are made like the end caps on my car and I am assuming they are original. The end caps I purchased are not built the same way. I guess I will install them and forget about why there is a difference; unless the difference prevents me from installing them. I purchased the pair for $40; good deal if they fit.
