1957 dimmer switch

The 1957 schematic is not clear on this point. Does the dimmer switch toggle the headlight feed wire between low and high beam or does it add the high to the low and have both on?

Ted, toggles between low & high beam. Dimmer switch is SPDT. Dan

Thanks Dan.. that is what I thought. Just wanted to be sure. I posted another thread concerning the current division makeup and schematic for the switch. If you have any comments, sure would appreciate it.
