Ground wire on 1957 rewire

My 1957 rewire project is basically complete but still having headlight problems. One question I would like to know is that out of the engine harness there is a rather long Black wire with a white stripe and a big ring terminal. This is shown on the 1957 schematic as going to ground. Where does it go to ground at? I presently have it tied to the VR case where the braid goes but I don't know if that is right. Comments appreciated.

Hi Ted,
The ground wire in question goes to the top right driverside valve cover holddown screw.
I may be able to send you a picture if necessary.

In the photo below, you'll see the black/white ground wire going behind the vertical ignition shield and forward - it ends up as Dave noted, under the rear inboard valve cover screw.
