Vaccuum Advance Can for L76 (1965 SHP 30-30 cam)

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know if Napa still has the vaccuum advance can for my engine (L76 365hp)? I *think* the Napa part # is VC-1810, but I cannot find it online any more. Thoughts on where I can find a replacement can?

I believe NAPA does not carry the B28 VAC anymore. GM Parts Direct has it under AC Delco D1312C. If there is a Standard Motor Products parts store in your area you could try Standards P/N VC177. I was able to secure a one as my parts store found a few at one of their distribution centers.

What's the ID number on the currently installed VAC?

Referencing the other thread, before you do anything else, you need to report idle vacuum @ idle speed.

Dennis. This subject was just covered from several posters. It would pay you to use the search.

As mentioned you need a B28 VA or an original 236 16 VA.
That's if you are using a stock 30-30 cam. On the other hand there are other VA's you can use for better results.
