'65 300HP Manifold Fittings

The JM states that "All intake manifold vacuum fittings are cadmium or zinc plated located at the rear of the manifold." Does this also apply to any threaded plugs which are present on the rear of the manifold? Were these plugs installed after engine painting?

My 65 300HP came from the factory with the threaded plug in the rear of the intake painted orange.

Dave, you need to look at the assembly manual. It will answer your questions as to the assembly of pieces added to the PAINTED engine while on the Corvette plant assembly line. If it is in the assembly manual it was NOT put there at the engine plant.
