I have a steel Walker (NAPA) jack that I bought in 1970 that's been rebuilt once and it still works great. I searched for local companies that did hydraulic repairs and found one that repaired floor jacks. They did a great job, so don't throw those old steel jacks away - get they rebuild.

We are in Durango, Co on the Road Tour to San Diego National Convention. Having a great time!

I bought a Hein Werner floor jack last year, and love it. It is made in USA and is far better than the Chinese-made Craftsman floor jack that I replaced - much smoother operation and better control in lowering the car precisely onto jack stands.

FWIW: Applied Power was also the manufacturer of the "Porta-Power" that was used in just about every bodyshop during this time period.

Got one of those as well along with several bottle jacks and a very old screw jack that is perfect for lifting one wheel while working from the pit. No danger of the screw jack leaking down and it will work in any orientation.
