Color of wiper motor on 1972 LT1

What color is the wiper motor on a 72 LT1? I have looked in the NCRS technical manual and AIM, but cannot seem to find it. Also can someone send pictures of the wiper motor area.
    Thanks,
    Jim

I guess we didn't mention the wiper motor color because all factory 1968-72 (and quite a ways beyond that) are raw aluminum die castings. So one might call them aluminum color. If you see a blue one, it is an automatic replacement -- and the earlier editions of the 1968-69 & 1970-72 TIM&JG used to state that. I guess those of us who have been at this a while got tired of the same old story.

Maybe someone else has pictures of a 1972. I don't. Have you looked at Pat Hulst's on line stash of 1972 photos. He has a bunch.

    BTW: Welcome aboard Jim.

And if so, you can normally simply remove the paint for judging, but you'll also have to replace the number/date sticker. Several blue motors I've examined were identical to an original once the paint was removed, and passed judging without deduction.

        Thank you for the information.
Mine is currently grey, but it may have been repainted at some time.

No part of the wiper motor assembly was originally painted. The casting component was natural aluminum and the motor housing was zinc plated.

            Photos from Ralph Spears.

I guess I am his designated flunkie since I am disabled.

Thank Ralph. I am only the go between because Ralph can't figure out how to post pictures. Some day one of us will have to visit him, or send him an adolescent to show him how to do it.
