We always used Knoch on our restorations. Best bet is that if you are going be be near a show where they are at is to let them do the installation.

My wife and I just finished, for the first time, our '67 white Al Knock seat covers and they look pretty darn good. Six hours on the first seat and four on the other. Makes your hands sore, though. Now I'm thinking about switching up the black dash and carpet to red to match the exterior. Always thought the red and white '65 was the sharpest combo. Bought the car new at age 22 so who cares now.

            Hi William,
I needed another opinion on the seats and would like to know,if you had purchased a video on doing the
installation. Also, if your seats were vinyl or leather? If I may if I can, where did you purchase your seat covers?
I like Corvette Central and wonder if theirs are from Al Knoch.
I wish I had purchase a Corvette at that age as you did.
            Thanks for the help,Tom.............

We watched Corvette America's installation video (Flashdrive & free) and had the laptop sitting on the work table. You'll need the special long pulling tool and a good set of hog ring pliers. The wire kit comes with the Al Knock vinyl covers and along with new cushions came right from the factory. Ordered rechromed hinges and a screw kit from Paragron which were beautiful. Tom, I'm sure if you had bought a Corvette at 22 you'd have treated it better than I did.

I also did watch Corvette America's video, being free it was okay. It could have used a little more professional touch in explaining some steps
in more detail...Anyway, I have a extra set of seats with headrests and would like to do them in leather, just wondering doing the seats as a
first time attempt, I should just go with vinyl...
                Was yours vinyl or leather???
My '58 Impala convertible{348 tri-power} took my abused, sold it and the next kid total it, the only car I ever had that I wish I had back.
