    54 corvette motor mounts

I am looking for pictures and or measurements of 54 corvette motor mounts from engine to frame. All I have are th brackets on frame rail. Don't have engine mount part or connector part. If anyone can help me out I would really appreciate it! Cannot afford the amount they want for a used set! I am sure I could fabricate if I had the measurements and pictures.trying to bring a 54 back to 6 cyl. Power. Thank you Bruce

Bruce - this is a tall order. The mounts bend every which way. I'll see what I can do for you but it will take me a day or two. Stay tuned. - John

        Bruce------

The engine-side brackets, GM #3700329 and 3700330, were the same as 1952-54 Chevrolet passenger car. Unfortunately, the frame-side brackets, GM #3706199 and 3706200, were unique to 1953-55 Corvette 6 cylinder applications. It would probably be possible to fabricate a functional replacement for the brackets but I greatly doubt that it would be possible to do so in a manner in which the brackets would appear like the originals.

By the way, in 1955 the Corvette-only brackets carried a GM list price of $3.25. They were both discontinued without supercesion in July, 1961. So, in a few more days, we'll all "celebrate" the 51st anniversary of their demise.

Bruce I'll attach some picts - but I don't know if they eill help you any. If you wish to see my 54 project log into www.johnsvetshop.com I'm afraid you need to save up your $$ and purchase factory mounts. The 54 engine sets pretty tight. I'll be glad to give you some measurements if you wish to try to position the engine and fab your own mounts.
