I have a Mid Year that has a rear spring issue. The car sits about an inch lower on the left than right. I had the spring "Re-arched" when the car was restored in 2007. Car has about a 1000 miles on it since done. I believe the spring may be original. Is it worth redoing again? I checked around at a few Corvette only suppliers(PR CC ZP Eck) and was told the replacement springs are made overseas(China & India). I have a friend with a new Fiberglass AOS spring @315#. Has anyone run these on a C2? If any one knows where a "Made in the USA" rear spring can be purchased, please let me know where. I need some some good recommendations for replacement. Thanx in advance.......Paul..

Re: 1967 Body Leaning.........
Paul, Eaton spring makes a leaf spring that sits correctly, Its somewhat correct, but not totally. I just put one in a frenids 63. Also they can try to heat treat and re-arch your old spring again, It must be rust free though. They say that heat treating is the trick to help the spring staying arched. You can call them and speek with there staff about your spring.New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top

Paul, for what it is worth, I had the same problem with my car with a new spring. I couldn't figure it out until I checked the bolts that connected the sombreros to the frame (diff. X-member to main frame connection). The side that was riding high was loose. It is a little tricky to get a wrench onto, but it can be done.Chris Enstrom

Re: 1967 Body Leaning.........
I bought a new 6/3 spring from Eaton Detroit Spring earlier this year - Made in USA. Specified it to come unpainted, otherwise they come black. Very happy with it. Here's a pic of the way it came, note the Made in USA sticker. www.eatonsprings.com 313-963-3839

I always like the left side to ride about 1/2" higher than the right side with the car "unloaded". The car rides level once the driver sits his fat ass down.- Top
