My '61 FI has the coil mounted on the pass side of the vehicle and I want to move it to it's correct location on the drivers side. Can someone provide a photo with their ignition shield removed so I can see what brackets are used and the correct wire routing? Thanks!

Larry, You need a 57 to 62 coil bracket for FI only. It mounts on the drivers side using one of the bolt holes that is holding your accelerator return spring bracket to the intake/baseplate.
The repro is a decent part although not quite like the original.
Be careful when you install the coil bracket for one reason. It's held on with two bolts. The bolt near the center or the baseplate has a blind hole that is very shallow.
Use a 5/16 x 1/2 hex bolt in this hole. If you use a longer bolt you will blast out the bottom of the baseplate and be in major trouble.
The original bolts could have been WB 1C or maybe UR's. But a hardware bolt with a split lock washer will do the job.
Not typical to see a coil bracket on the passenger side. Maybe someone used a 63 to 65 combo coil bracket and shielding support? John- Top

Thanks John. I bought the repo bracket and bolt. I also need the correct plug wire bracket for the right side. The one I have now has the coil as part of the wire bracket. Hopefully Don has a photo so I can tie it all together.- Top

Larry, There are many photos in Noland Adams Vol 1 of the coil bracket, etc.
Starting backwards in his book. Pg 376, 381, etc.
'57 to 62 all had the same coil bracket.
What about the AIMS also. Most of the repro catalogs lists a coil bracket for your car. It can only go one place on the intake. Get the accelerator return spring bracket, the spring, the radio capacitor bracket and then you are done. John- Top
