Unfortunately, you're going to increasingly find that SERVICE parts, especially for older applications, are only available as manufactured by "off-shore" sources.

For newer applications, many of the OEM, production-line parts are off-shore sourced. In those cases virtually all of the SERVICE parts will also be off-shore sourced.

BTW, i think the repro corvette yokes are cast in china and not forged as originals so try to find a good used original. jim o.

Can anyone provide the Yoke length of Vette vs. passenger car...I had a twisted tail shft when our T-10 was rebuilt

        Jerry-----

The C1 Corvette T-10 yoke tube length is 4-3/4". I don't know what the passenger car length is but it's not 4-3/4".

          Joe -

The passenger car yoke is about 3-1/4" to 3-1/2". My last '57 had a pass. car yoke when I got it, and the splines on the output shaft were twisted; I was fortunate to locate an NOS mainshaft to replace it, and an NOS Corvette yoke (which took longer to find than the mainshaft). Photo below is the Corvette yoke.

IMG_3443.jpgThanks Joe and John...on our car, there was historic undercarriage damage to the fiberglass which indicated that at one time, the u-joint to yoke came loose and caused the some damage and the tailshaft was twisted...for that reason the yoke length is suspect...we will pull the drive shaft to check length...here's a pic of the engagment ( inside unknown )...James, Thanks again for pointing out this potential problem.

approximately two inches longer for the Corvette.
